The Queen has been pleased to approve the appointment of Antony James Cobham Edwards-Stuart, Esq., Q.C., to be a Justice of the High Court with effect from 1 October 2009 upon the death of Mr. Justice Hodge.
The Lord Chief Justice will assign Mr. Edwards-Stuart to the Queen’s Bench Division.
Mr. Edwards-Stuart, 62, was called to the Bar by Gray’s Inn in 1976 and took Silk in 1991. He was appointed a Recorder in 1997 and served as head of Crown Office Chambers from 2005 to September 2009.

HM The Queen has been pleased to approve the appointment of The Honourable Mr Justice Jackson as a Lord Justice of Appeal, with effect from 1st October 2008.
He will be sworn in at 11.30 on Thursday 2nd October 2008 before the LCJ in Court 4, RCJ. This is in open court therefore anyone wishing to attend may do so.
The Honourable Mr Justice (Rupert) Jackson (60) was called to the Bar in 1972 (Middle Temple) and was made a Bencher in 1995. He took Silk in 1987, was a Recorder from 1990 until 1998, and was appointed a Deputy High Court Judge in 1993. He was appointed a Judge of the High Court (Queen’s Bench Division) in 1999, and served as Judge in charge of the Technology and Construction Court 2004-07.
Mr Justice Jackson was knighted in 1999.

A memorial service for the life and work of John Slater QC will be held on Monday 21st April at Temple Church at 5.45pm, with a reception to follow in the Middle Temple Hall. His Honour Judge Peter David William Coulson, QC, has been appointed a Justice of the High Court, assigned to the Queen’s Bench Division.
Judge Coulson, 49, was called to the Bar by Gray’s Inn in 1982 and took silk in 2001. He was appointed a recorder in 2002, a circuit judge in 2004 and is approved to sit as a deputy High Court judge.
If anyone wishes to attend he is being sworn in on Monday 14 January at 09.30 in Court 4, Royal Courts of Justice, Strand WC2A 2LA.
