Specimen Arbitration Clause

Parties are recommended to include in their contract an arbitration clause in the following terms:

Any dispute or difference arising out of or in connection with this agreement shall be referred to arbitration by a single arbitrator

[or substitute, if preferred, panel of three arbitrators]

appointed by or on behalf of the Chairman for the time being of TECBAR. The arbitration shall be conducted

in accordance with The Construction Industry Model Arbitration Rules as in force at the date of the reference.

in accordance with the Society of Construction Arbitrators’ 100 Day Arbitration Procedure as in force at the date of the reference.
